One of a Kind
Title: White Bird, Deer and Fawn
After Christmas last year, I was shopping for items I could use to craft ornaments. At a local nursery I found white bisque fawns and deers, white ceramic squirrels and styrofoam snowmen. I got a couple of each knowing I was going to use them to craft monochromatic ornaments.
I used the bisque deer and fawn to partner with a white mushroom bird for this one-of-a-kind holiday and winter season decorative piece. Two ornaments and this tabletop decor make up what I'm calling "The White Bird Series". For this piece, the white bird is peeking out from the branches of a white Dept 56 tinsel tree.
The base is a slice of wood that I covered with Arleenes Snow and artificial snow flakes.
This would be a sweet present for someone who loves deers and someone who decorates with a nature theme. I can picture various ways I would display this. One is nestled in flocked garland. There's something appealing about the clean, simplicity of this.
