One of a Kind
The Snowbaby or Snowbaby-like figurine is one of 3 similarly styled ornaments I found in a vintage flea market. They were labled Snowbabies but I can't confirm that. Regardless of the "pedigree", this young girl is precious. Notice the high degree of detail.
I believe this figurine is either bisque porcelain or ceramics.
As adorable as this figurine is, I think adding a backdrop raises the appeal. I used a wood disc shaped like an ornament. On the front is an image of a snow covered house. I painted the roof then sealed it with decoupage that I added a little glitter to. On the back I used scrapbook paper in a vintage style that I also sealed with decoupage. I wrapped ribbon trim around the side and decorative trim across the top.
